Services and Starting Costs of Medications
Below is a list of weight loss medications along with their starting base prices. After your consultation, I will send your prescription to a trusted pharmacy that I have found consistently provides high-quality medications at some of the most competitive prices in the current local market.
My goal is to help you access safe, effective treatment at the best value available.
Semaglutide is a once-weekly medication that supports weight loss and metabolic health by activating the GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptor, a natural hormone involved in appetite and blood sugar regulation. GLP-1 helps reduce hunger, slow stomach emptying, improve blood sugar control, and promote a feeling of fullness after eating.
Tirzepatide is a once-weekly medication that supports weight loss and metabolic health by activating two natural hormone pathways in the body: GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) and GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide). These hormones help regulate appetite, improve blood sugar control, slow stomach emptying, and promote a feeling of fullness after eating.

Phentermine is a prescription appetite suppressant that works by stimulating the central nervous system to reduce hunger and increase energy expenditure, helping patients eat less and lose weight.
-price varies-
Similar mechanism to the injection but taken in pill form. The medication is taken once daily on an empty stomach with a small amount of water, typically at least 30 minutes before eating or drinking.
These medications are sometimes used as part of a medical weight-loss plan to help reduce appetite, control cravings, and support healthier eating habits. Phentermine helps decrease appetite and increase energy, naltrexone can help reduce food cravings and reward-driven eating, and topiramate may help promote feelings of fullness and decrease appetite.

About
My name is John Nielsen
I bring more than 20 years of healthcare experience and a genuine passion for helping people improve their health and confidence. My career began while I was still in school working as a hospital aide, where I developed a deep respect for the people I cared for and the challenges many face in achieving better health.
After graduating, I landed a job in the various ICUs at the University of Utah Hospital, gaining extensive medical experience before transitioning into family practice and urgent care. Recently, I served as Medical Director at a local medical weight loss clinic, where I helped build and develop a successful weight loss program.
Today, while I continue to practice family medicine, my greatest passion is helping patients achieve meaningful, lasting weight loss. I understand that health care needs to be both effective and affordable, and I work closely with each patient to create a practical plan that fits their life. Helping people feel healthier, more confident, and in control of their health is what drives me every day.
I love the outdoors, mountain biking, my beautiful wife of our five wild children and quiet times at the lake waiting for a fish to bite.
